Who we are

Dekanis is an unregistered business activity (działalność nierejestrowana) operated by a natural person under Article 5 of the Polish Entrepreneurs' Law (Prawo przedsiębiorców), trading under the name "Dekanis".

What data we collect

We collect the data you voluntarily provide through the contact form at /contact: your name, email address, company name (optional), the type of engagement you select, and the content of your inquiry message. We do not collect this data through any other channel on this site.

Purpose of processing

We use this data solely to respond to your business or technical inquiry. We do not use your data for marketing purposes, and we do not send you marketing communications, without your separate, explicit consent.

Legal basis (GDPR)

• Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (when your inquiry concerns a potential service engagement).
• Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in responding to general inquiries addressed to us (when no contract is contemplated).

Data recipients and processors

We use the following processors:

• Formspree — processes contact form submissions. Data is processed on servers located in the United States. Transfers are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (where Formspree is certified) and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Vercel — hosts this website and processes standard server log data (IP address, request timestamps, user-agent) as part of normal operation. Vercel is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Vercel Web Analytics — collects only aggregated, anonymous visit statistics. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data that can identify you.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third parties.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for the duration of the correspondence and for a maximum of 12 months after the last contact, unless a longer retention period is required by law (e.g. for tax or accounting purposes if a contract is concluded).

Server logs generated by Vercel are retained according to Vercel's standard retention periods (typically up to 30–90 days).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

• Right of access
• Right to rectification
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing based on legitimate interest
